Phosphorous deficiency
Not enough Phosphorous leads to a very small and late bloom and drought leaves. The colour of leaves and plants are not normal. Leave veins and shafts of older leaves get a little bit red. The upside is dirty green to brown. Then they get black and drop down. The underpart and the roots get reddish. The plants get stunted. The number of roots and fruits is very small. Phosphorous is a part of protein. It is important for blooms, fruits and seeds. In very sour or basic and poor in humus soils. Phosphorous is fixed and not plant available. If there is a Phosphorous deficiency, there is mostly a deficiency on other important minerals too.
Phosphorous surplus
If there is a Phosphorous surplus there is often a disturbance of growth, the trace elements iron and copper are not absorbed. It leads to a yellow, greenyellow and later white colour between the leave veins, but without getting brown. There is no budbuilding
